Who we Are

Swim Smooth Joburg is the first (and only!) branch of the internationally acclaimed swim coaching company Swim Smooth in South Africa! Based in Johannesburg and powered by the world’s leading swim coaching program, we have had phenomenal results over the past three years.

Our passion is simple. We thrive on helping people swim better, whether you are a beginner who would like to learn freestyle, an intermediate triathlete who wants to develop their stroke technique or an advanced swimmer looking to dominate the field. Your background and ability level simply don’t matter.

It is a privilege to bring international swim coaching standards to South Africa, raising the bar on traditional swim coaching methods. Using the latest technology and training methods, we guarantee success and a renewed love for swimming!

Too often we just jump in the pool, swimming length after length without exactly knowing what is holding us back (and this differs for each individual!) and how we can optimise our time spent in the pool.

We believe that every swimmer in our squad is an individual and should be treated as such. Our Swim Types coaching system recognises that we are all built differently, that we come from a wide range of swimming backgrounds and experiences and even varied learning styles too.

Added to this, triathlon and open water swimming events differ vastly form your run of the mill events and so should your training for it! Swimming well in the open water environment is VERY different to performing well in the pool. So why should we all be coached the same way? We shouldn’t, and you won’t.

Our passion is simple.
We thrive on helping people.
